This bakery and cafe' in Harbert, MI is a great spot for breakfast. They make wonderful homemade bread, pastries and elephant ears. Get there early they sell out fast.
This small restaurant has a fun and different menu. Things like peanut butter and jelly made with nuts and sliced fruit! It also is a ice cream and coffee shop. They have a store with tea pots and local art for sale. Their hours are unpredictable and they have trouble handling larger groups, so call ahead.
This is a GREAT bakery. If you need a special dessert or cake go here. The bread is awesome too. It's very close only about 10-15 minutes. The restaurant is really good too. They remodeled a number of years ago and the inside is very pretty. Nice Italian food and daily specials.
Waterfront restaurant, features "artisan comfort cuisine" . Bentwood's sophisticated spin on pub fare features gourmet pizzas fired in a wood-burning oven, fresh seafood, Amish roasted chicken, steaks and chops. Everything is scratch made from only the highest quality, and whenever possible, locally grown ingredients. Eight craft brews on tap and a well-curated wine list. The atmosphere is really nice and they have a children's menu.
We absolutely love going to this store! It's a fresh produce market, a gift shop, and a garden center.
This winery has a tasting room with tours. They get very busy on weekends. The restaurant is the closest to fine dining nearby. You dine in a room overlooking the vineyard. The food is high-end, not super great, but definitely good. With all the atmosphere provided, it is worth a special night out.The amazing chocolates look to good to eat!
Good place to see a movie.14 different screens and pretty good popcorn. They have extra salt in packets, I love that. Also, pretzels and dippin dots. Allow about 20 minutes to get to the theater. Remember it is Michigan time so adjust your clocks if you are from Illinois.
This is a good outlet mall, they actually have some bargains and they are usually not that crowded. It is an outdoor mall, keep that in mind if it's rainy or really hot.
If you have never tasted fresh picked blueberries, you have never tasted blueberries. Call me a snob, but nothing can match the flavor of a just picked berry. The Blueberry Patch is our favorite spot for pick-your-own, Harvest season is from July-August but call to make sure.Blueberries are very easy to pick, trust me, if you have a group of 4 people you will get enough berries for eating and baking. It is so worth it.
Captain Mike's is in Bridgman, south on Red Arrow Hwy. They have go-carts, mini golf, batting cages, etc. This can be fun, since it is close by, it makes for an easy excursion and you can get right back to the beach,
This is a fun restaurant on the river in St Joseph. It is about a 20 minutes drive. They have a large menu with bar n grill type foods. Good onion rings, salads and lake perch. They can be crowded on weekend so anticipate a wait at peak times.
This used to be a rather "famous" restaurant. They still seem crowded all the time. We have been a couple times and it is unmemorable. But, lots of people like it and it is a nice place. So, try it out let us know what you think.
